Silver Is Alive and Well in Harman Technology's New Ilford Silver Based Digital Paper – Photokina 2006

For the past 160 years, light sensitive silver was the standard for creating photographs, and although it seems like traditional Black and White photographic processes are dead, for fine artists, nothing could be further from the truth. Ilford is one of the most respected names in photographic paper, film, and chemicals and in this interview with Harman Technology's Eric Luden, makers of the famed Ilford brand line of photo materials, we discuss the current state of traditional photo technologies, as well as their groundbreaking new fiber based photo paper for large digital photo printers such as the Durst Lambda or Lightjet. If you have ever wanted the beauty of traditional silver based print, but with the control of digital imaging, then listen in since Harman Technology might have the answer.
