Recently, a wicked summer storm rolled through our fair city, leveling trees, downing power lines, and leaving tens of thousands without electricity. The neighborhood went completely dark, the internet connection disappeared, and appliances and A/C units were silenced. We love mobile photography, and the advent of a cell phone capable of serious photographic expression has been with us for a while. The problem is two-fold and anchored in physics.
