The recent introduction of a new class of printers from HP has taken the photography world by storm. The HPZ2100 and Z3100 are the first inkjet printers to combine state-of-the-art pigment print technology coupled with an integrated GretagMacbeth iOne colorimeter, clearly points the way to a new generation of printers, and may even shift the landscape of printing for digital photography. In this interview with Walt Sledzieski of HP we learn what led to the new printers, and the features that set them apart from the competition. Are these the printers that will force photographers and service bureaus to consider switching brands? Listen and find out!
