Samsung Marries GPS Technology To Digital Photography – PMA Las Vegas 2007

Samsung’s recent cameras have garnered a slew of design awards, with a unique “Smart Touch” system on it’s NV cameras. Their new NV GPS enabled camera can couple with a small GPS transmitter to record to metadata the exact location where photos are made. Interested in this new use of GPS technology, then listen to this interview with Samsung’s David Denegre. A look at the existing metadata fields already present in digital photos reveals fields already set aside for GPS data, but until now few consumers could take advantage of it.
